HAILEY HAS A NEW CHEW TOY
We have adopted a new puppy! He is a German Shepherd & Shar Pei mix. He looks like a small Shepherd with a lot of extra skin. lol He sounds like the ugliest dog ever, but he's extremely cute. We named him Chase because he likes to chase after anything in sight. Vaccum cleaners, bugs, Hailey's hind legs, and his own tail are common targets, but not a ball. Hailey has found his extra skin a good gripping point to use and pull him to the ground while they're playing.

SITE UPDATE
This evening I got a chance to get back on here and update the information on the site. It needed it desperately ;)
The hurricanes have left quite a mess of FL but hopefully we will not have to worry about another hitting the state. My prayers and thoughts go out to all of those who have endured damages or lost loved ones through the passing of Charlie, Frances, Ivan, Jeanne, and now Karl.7

HURRICANE JEANNE NOW?
Severe flooding brought by Jeanne killed more than 100 people in Haiti. Seven people died in the neighboring Dominican Republic and three died in Puerto Rico. Jeanne came through last night taking out our power for about 6 hours. More debris was left, but the maximum winds saw in our area were around 50mph, not as bad as what Frances gave us.

HURRICANE IVAN LOOPS
Ivan seems to be quite a determined storm. He came through Florida's panhandle with sustained winds of over 70mph and continued northeast only to loop back around south towards the gulf and then to ended up almost hitting the coast of Texas. He just didn't want to give up!
We didn't see any damage from Ivan in the Jacksonville area, but Pensacola, FL took quite a hit.

HURRICANE FRANCES UPDATE
She passed through two nights ago taking out our power for about 28 hours. At times, it sounded like a freight-train was passing by our apartment. We found out this morning that there were quite a few spin-off tornadoes that hit our area. Landscaping crews are still cleaning up debris and cutting up fallen trees, a few of which damaged vehicles in our apartment complex. We saw winds reach speeds of over 80mph in the Jacksonville area. I'm beginning to think that maybe moving to FL this time of the year wasn't a smart decision ;)
